News has just broken that the Province of Trento has also decided to close all ski lifts in the province in order to contain the coronavirus pandemic. Below is the official statement:
An extraordinary meeting of the Provincial Executive took place this morning in Trento to address a series of health and economic issues linked to the Coronavirus emergency. Among its various decisions, the executive also approved the closure—starting Tuesday evening—of all ski lifts, in order to strengthen measures aimed at containing infections, following the initial rules introduced to prevent gatherings of people that do not comply with the government decree.
Dolomiti Superski also closing across all areas
The decision by the Trentino Provincial Executive follows that of the major Dolomiti Superski area, which decided to close all its ski areas in order to contain the spread of coronavirus
