The start of the season for the Monterosa Ski Group will then proceed as scheduled. On November 29, the lifts in Champoluc-Frachey, Gressoney-La-Trinité, and Champorcher will officially open.
Alagna will follow on December 5, and on December 6 it will be the turn of Antagnod, Brusson, and Gressoney-Saint-Jean.
The Monte Rosa ski area has benefited from this November’s snowstorms thanks to the high average altitude of its ski slopes: there are nearly 2 meters of snow at high elevation and the runs are well covered across the entire upper section of the ski area. Monterosa Ski thus becomes the second ski resort in the Aosta Valley to open its lifts for the 2014/2015 ski season, after the lifts (on Italian territory) in Cervinia opened on Saturday, November 8
