Following the opening of slopes and lifts across 7 Dolomiti Superski areas last weekend, the slopes and lifts of the Piz Sella sector in Val Gardena will follow on Thursday, December 3, and by December 4–5 slopes and lifts will be open across all 12 ski areas of the Dolomites. Over the weekend, a total of 377 km of slopes and 241 ski lifts will be in operation.
In the Sellaronda valleys, starting December 4 the ski links between Val di Fassa – Val Gardena – Alta Badia – Arabba will also be open in both directions (with a gap in the ski connection between Arabba and Val di Fassa). Full details on open lifts and slopes can be found in the dedicated section on dolomitisuperski.com.
First FIS races of the season successfully staged in Val Gardena
On Monday, November 30, two Super-G races took place on the immaculately snow-covered slopes of Piz Sella in Val Gardena, followed on Tuesday, December 1 by the downhill race. These FIS races for young international athletes served as an excellent dress rehearsal ahead of the public opening of the slopes on December 3, 2015.
