Plan Maison and Fornet in operation with runs 6.0 and 6.00. The Italy day pass will cost 42 euros. Skiing is already under way on the Swiss glacier.
On Saturday, November 7, the first slopes on the Italian side open at Cervinia. The lifts starting up will be the Plan Maison and Fornet chairlifts, serving runs 6.0 and 6.00.
The 2026/27 season of Cervino Ski Paradise thus expands beyond the slopes of the Swiss glacier, which can already be reached from Breuil-Cervinia via the line of lifts climbing to Plateau Rosà. From Saturday, skiers will also be able to start skiing on the slopes above Plan Maison, staying on the Aosta Valley side of the ski area.
Restarting from Plan Maison and Fornet
The opening will cover the sector between the roughly 2,500 meters of Plan Maison and the 3,000 meters reached by the Fornet. Run 6.0 is Fornet 1, while 6.00 descends through the Plan Maison sector. These are the first two Italian runs that Cervino Spa has included in the November 7 schedule.
The snow that fell in recent weeks and the drop in temperatures are allowing staff to complete the preparation of the base. To reach the slopes, skiers will use the cable car linking Breuil-Cervinia to Plan Maison, already running for those heading up to the glacier.
The start therefore concerns high-altitude skiing. The two runs announced do not include the descents back down to the village.
The Italy day pass costs 42 euros
For this first opening, the Italy day pass will cost 42 euros, while the two-day ticket will be on sale for 80.50 euros. Those choosing the Plan Maison and Fornet slopes will therefore be able to ski with the Italian ski pass; to continue onto the Swiss runs, the international pass will be required.
Access to the glacier remains the same as since the start of the season: from Plan Maison a gondola lift climbs to Cime Bianche Laghi, followed by the cable car up to Plateau Rosà. On the Swiss side the ski lifts are already running, including the Plateau Rosà surface lifts and the Furggsattel chairlift.
Among this winter’s new features is the Mobile Skipass. The day pass is bought online and activated in the Cervino Ski app; at enabled turnstiles it is recognized via the phone’s Bluetooth. Before buying, check that your smartphone is compatible, as the service is not available on all devices.
The calendar for Breuil-Cervinia runs until May 2, 2027. In Valtournenche, on the other hand, the season start is set for November 28.
