Ski lift openings continue across the Alps as the season progresses. Last weekend it was Italy’s turn with the opening of 3 ski areas—Presena, Cervinia, and Solda—while on this mid-November weekend 2 resorts answer the call, both in Switzerland.
They are Davos and the Titlis Glacier: the former opened 5 lifts today, Friday, November 14, with nearly 8 km of slopes available to skiers (official website).
The season also restarts on the Titlis Glacier following the completion of work on the splendid new panoramic cable car, making its debut this Saturday, November 15 (official website).

Falling victim to the latest weather patterns was the famous ski resort of Crans-Montana in Switzerland, where the lift opening had been scheduled for Saturday, November 15 and snow cover was fair, but during the week temperatures rose above average, effectively wiping out the benefits of the previous snowfalls.

The operators of Crans-Montana were forced to take a step back and postpone the lift opening until further notice, awaiting new snowfalls and above all favorable temperatures.
