Cervinia, Monterosa, Pila, La Thuile, Courmayeur—to varying degrees, skiing will be available everywhere and at reduced pre-season rates.
Snow conditions are extraordinary, with slopes covered in snow as if in the heart of winter; here are the main openings:
Cervinia and Valtournenche
Starting Saturday, November 30, all lifts in Valtournenche open—including the “Salette” gondola, the “Motta”, “Becca d’Aran”, “Bec Carré”, and “Du Col” chairlifts, the “Gran Sometta” ski lift, and the magic carpet—ensuring a ski-in/ski-out connection with Breuil-Cervinia and Zermatt (Switzerland).
There is news in Breuil-Cervinia as well, where the “Pancheron” chairlift will also open on Saturday. At Plan Maison, alongside the magic carpet and the “Baby La Vieille” ski lift, the “Plan Maison”, “Fornet”, and “Bontadini” chairlifts are running, providing a full connection all the way up to Colle del Teodulo (3,301 m), the other access point to the Zermatt ski area alongside Plateau Rosà (3,500 m), where skiing is open on the upper section of the Ventina slope down to Cime Bianche Laghi (2,812 m). Also in the Cime Bianche Laghi – Ventina area, the “Goillet” chairlift is open.
For those wishing to ski “only” on the Italian side of the ski area, Breuil-Cervinia and Valtournenche, the price of the daily ski pass is 38.00 Euros.
Courmayeur
Saturday, November 30: partial opening of the upper part of the ski area.
The special rate, valid as long as the opening remains partial, is 23 euros for a daily pass. The Dolonne ticket office will be open until Friday from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm; starting Saturday, both the Courmayeur and Dolonne ticket offices will be open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
La Thuile
The start of the winter season is confirmed for tomorrow, Saturday, November 30, when part of the La Thuile lifts will open to visitors for the first long-awaited runs. A partial opening of the ski area, with phenomenal snow conditions and a daily ski pass for just € 20.00.
Over the coming weeks, if temperatures remain optimal and the forecast snowfalls arrive, the rest of the ski area will progressively open.
On this first weekend of snow, the operating lifts will be the DMC Gondola, the Chaz Dura Express and Chalet Express Chairlifts, and the Piloni and Gran Testa Ski Lifts, providing access to slopes 9-Chaz Dura, 10-Gran Testa, 11-Boulevard, 12-Piloni, 14-Terres Noires, 15-Chalet, and 20-Promenade.
