“Che Tempo che Fa” is the famous TV show hosted by Fabio Fazio, who every week invites writers and important figures from the worlds of literature, economics, cinema, culture, etc.
Fazio has always hosted great personalities who have left their mark on history, and among them stands out the name of Walter Bonatti, the great Italian mountaineer who passed away on September 13, 2011 after writing a chapter in the history of mountaineering. The great mountaineer was a guest in Fazio’s studio more than once, on one occasion presenting his book “I miei ricordi” and in another episode together with his great friend and fellow famous mountaineer, Reinhold Messner.

“Che Tempo che Fa” will devote an entire episode to the memory of Walter Bonatti and the mountains, an unmissable event with exceptional guests. Remembering Bonatti and talking about the mountains will be Marco Albino Ferrari, who edited for Einaudi «Racconti di pareti e scalatori», a collection of 26 stories by some of the greatest mountaineer-writers of all time; also in the studio will be the actress Rossana Podestà, Bonatti’s partner for thirty years, the journalist Paolo Rumiz, the mountain guide Arnaud Clavel and the climber Reinhold Messner, for a tribute to the man, the mountaineer and the mountains.
Messner will also talk about his book “Tutte le mie cime” (Corbaccio), released on November 24, which sums up sixty years of life through photographs of his greatest feats, and about the updated edition of Spostare le montagne. Come si affrontano le sfide superando i propri limiti (Mondadori), released on November 2, in which he describes how the approach to mountaineering has changed with new technologies and what man’s relationship is with such extreme feats. Also in the studio will be Luca Mercalli, to explain the dynamics of high-altitude meteorology. A special evening which, through archive footage and personal accounts, will bring the legend of Walter Bonatti and his feats back to life in the Che tempo che fa studio.
