Heavy snowfalls in the Dolomites make several early openings possible, ahead of the snow-packed official kick-off on November 30.
Full half a meter of fresh snow has fallen from 1,000 m in altitude upwards, with remarkable peaks in the higher areas of the Dolomites, and further heavy snowfalls are expected in the coming days, much to the delight of those who cannot wait to get back on the slopes after the long summer break.
Although the official opening of the 2019-20 winter season in Dolomiti Superski is scheduled for November 30, several lifts and slopes have already been running for a few days and others will open ahead of schedule in the coming days thanks to the abundant snowfall.
The fun has already begun or will begin shortly in the areas of Cortina d’Ampezzo, Arabba, 3 Cime Dolomiti, Val di Fiemme/Obereggen, and San Martino di Castrozza/Passo Rolle.
