Dolomiti Superski: 7 Ski Areas Open from Saturday, November 28

Dolomiti Superski ski lift opening 2015-16

Thanks to the cold spell across the Alps since November 21, programmed snowmaking systems have produced enough snow to guarantee the season opening on schedule. A total of 63 ski lifts and 80 km of slopes will enter operation this coming Saturday, November 28, 2015, across the ski areas of Cortina d’Ampezzo (Faloria and Cinque Torri), Kronplatz-Plan de Corones, Arabba (Passo Campolongo), Sextner Dolomiten, Val di Fiemme-Obereggen, San Martino di Castrozza, and Civetta. Thanks to favorable cold temperatures, programmed snowmaking guarantees great skiing even in the absence of natural snowfall, underscoring the importance of the sustained, targeted investments made over the years by the lift companies belonging to Dolomiti Superski.

Starting Friday, December 4, 2015, slopes and lifts will open across all 12 valleys of the Dolomiti Superski network, ensuring access to a substantial portion of the Dolomites’ ski terrain—including inter-valley links and ski circuits—ahead of the first major winter holiday period over the December 8 Immaculate Conception weekend.

Alongside the lifts and slopes, local skipass ticket offices are also opening in each resort, offering the full range of passes tailored to skiers’ needs. Early-bird pre-sales for Dolomiti Superski and single-resort season passes remain available at discounted rates through December 24, 2015, for more than four months of fun on the slopes.

Thanks to excellent snow conditions on the courses, the FIS Raiffeisen Challenge alpine ski races in Val Gardena have also been confirmed for November 30 and December 1 at Plan de Gralba, where young international athletes will compete in two Super-G races and a downhill.

Full information on the new 2015/16 ski season, the Dolomiti Superski network, and its 12 ski areas across Alto Adige, Trentino, and Veneto—including skipass prices, trail maps, social media channels, resort services, and events—is available online at www.dolomitisuperski.com
