For the Cervinia stage of the Giro d’Italia, the lifts in Cervinia are open for the weekend, with the chance to ski on both the Italian and the Swiss side of the Plateau Rosà glacier
A weekend, that of May 19 and 20, all about sport: the Giro d’Italia stage finish and, for the occasion, ski slopes open for the weekend.

“Big Bike, Big Ski”: a more than fitting slogan. With the Giro d’Italia stage finishing in Breuil-Cervinia on Saturday, May 19, the lifts of the ski area will be open for the weekend, giving ski enthusiasts the chance to use the Swiss slopes of the Plateau Rosà glacier and, on Italian territory, the run down the upper part of the Ventina, returning to Cime Bianche Laghi, helped by the still excellent quality of the compact snow.

And non-skiers too will have the chance to “go up” by cable car to the glacier at 3,500 metres and admire the panorama of the whole Breuil basin from the top of Plateau Rosà; on Saturday the Valtournenche-La Salette gondola lift will also be running, with free access. International ski pass Euro 43.00, national ski pass (Ventina piste) Euro 31.00 and Breuil-Cervinia Plateau Rosà return fare Euro 29.00.
On Saturday the road will be closed from Antey in both directions from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
