New gondola lift in Alleghe, Ski Civetta invests in the future

“The crisis in tourism is overcome with major investments” is how Sergio Pra, president of Alleghe Funivie, opened the press conference held in Caprile di Alleghe to present the new 8-seater Piani di Pezzè – Col dei Baldi gondola lift and all the important new features that will characterize next winter in the resort of Alleghe, a crucial hub of the large Ski Civetta ski area.

“The entire project will cost a total of 9.2 million euros – announced Pra – but, among the various options available to us, it is undoubtedly the best choice, because it will allow everyone, not only skiers, to reach the top easily, giving new impetus to the whole ski area. Thanks to a capacity of 2,800 people per hour and a shorter travel time, moreover, the 8-seater gondola lift will guarantee a significant increase in rides.”

The new lift is just the most visible element of a large project that Alleghe and the Ski Civetta area are dedicating to their guests. At the same time, in fact, a new surface lift will replace the Lander ski lift, the Col dei Baldi and Piani di Pezzè stations will be completely renovated according to criteria aimed at minimizing environmental impact, and a new nursery slope and a new floodlit cross-country trail are under construction. Besides being able to reach Col dei Baldi, the highest and most panoramic point, in comfort, children and those trying skiing for the first time will thus have two nursery slopes facing each other and a large new teaching area, created by moving back and partially burying the valley station.

Alleghe thus takes a step forward, further improving one of the most important ski areas in the Veneto, with no less than 80 km of slopes and a state-of-the-art snowpark.
