Almost as if to mock the experts’ forecasts, which predict difficulties in the future for ski slopes at 1,000 meters of altitude, in the Paganella Skiarea, in Trentino, the ski season is opening precisely in Andalo (1,000 m a.s.l.). The cold has made snowmaking possible on the Rindole nursery slope, which serves children and beginners. For the higher slopes – including the new feature of the season, Nuvola Rossa – everyone is waiting for the weather front forecast for the coming days, which will also bring a significant drop in temperature.
The Rindole nursery slope is served by the four-seater chairlift of the same name. Its opening also meets the needs of the hotels, which are inaugurating the new winter season in Andalo this weekend.
For the occasion, the Skipass company has set the price of the day pass at 10 euros, with free skiing for children under 8 years of age.
It’s a small step while waiting for real snow to allow the season to start across the entire Trentino ski area.
