Even though the lack of snow forced operators to postpone the start of the season, at Skiarea Verena they didn’t lose heart and worked hard to guarantee the opening of the lifts in time for the Christmas holidays.
We can say the goal has been hit: today (December 22, 2011) Asiago is welcoming skiers again thanks to the opening of the Monte Verena lifts, with the Cima Aquila chairlift, the baby drag lift and the nursery slope with magic carpet. Thanks to the low temperatures, snowmaking work is continuing, and in the next few days the brand-new “Il bosco degli Urogalli” chairlift, dedicated to the famous Asiago writer Mario Rigoni Stern, should come into operation.
With the start of the season, the Asiago Neve ski weeks and the Verena ski area events also get under way.
