On Saturday, November 26 and Sunday, November 27 the lifts of Alagna Valsesia will partially open for a sneak preview of the 2011-2012 winter season; the Alagna-Pianalunga gondola lift and the Pianalunga-Passo dei Salati Funifor will be running from 08:45 to 17:00.
The opening of the high-altitude Bodwich and Cimalegna slopes is guaranteed for the first skiers, while the Olen slope is still uncertain. Monterosa Ski’s technicians are working hard to make snow on the section below 2,300 meters, where the snow cover is still thin; everything will depend on how temperatures develop over the next few days, which so far have not allowed them to work at their best.
After the weekend the season will continue, weather permitting, from next Saturday, December 3, 2011 without interruption until April 15, 2012, to kick off the 11/12 winter.
