In Madonna di Campiglio, the effort to overcome this winter’s challenging snow conditions continues: having kicked off strictly on machine-made snow, the ski season now benefits from natural snow as well—especially at high altitude, where recent snowfalls left around 30 cm of fresh snow on the ground.
While we are still far from the meters of snow that typically blanket the Brenta Dolomites in winter, the Campiglio lift crew has been working non-stop to achieve the full opening of the ski circuit.
Starting Tuesday, January 19, the openings of the Pinzolo-Campiglio ski link (via the Campiglio Express gondola), the Spinale 2 chairlift, and the Spinale Direttissima slope—a 2,400-meter black run with a 585-meter vertical drop reaching a maximum gradient of 70% on the famous Schumacher Streif pitch—are officially confirmed.

With these latest openings, the Campiglio Skiarea now has 90% of its 150 km of slopes open.
Over on the Grostè sector, meanwhile, the Ursus Snowpark has been open for several weeks with its Small line (1 flat box 4 m – 1 flat box 6 m – 1 easy funbox) and Medium line (1 kinky box 3+3 – 1 fat rail 4 m – 1 fat rail 9 m – 1 kicker 5 m – 1 double shift fat rail 4+3).
