Alpe di Siusi Snowpark awarded best park of 2014

Once again this year, the top ambassadors of freestyle snow sports gathered at Skipass to elect the winners who best represent the discipline in Italy and beyond. Things kicked off with the Snowpark Awards, which saw the SeiserAlm Snowpark at Alpe di Siusi triumph as Best Park 2014. An honorable mention also went to Obereggen for its 20 years of snowpark history. The Snowboard Awards saw Simon Gruber triumph as Best Male, while among the women the most voted was Piedmont’s Bibi Maiocco. Recognition also went to Livigno, which claimed Best Event in Italy with the World Rookie Fest. The Snowboard Awards also featured an honorable mention: this time to Giacomo Kratter, the world’s most famous Italian snowboarder.

At the Italian Freeski Awards, Alto Adige’s Markus Eder of the Red Bull team won in the men’s category, while Best Female went to Olympian Silvia Bertagna. An honorable mention was awarded to Valentino Mori, coach of the national freeski team. Tomorrow, the spotlight turns to the Freeride Awards.
