The very recent snowfalls of the last few days have brought a winter landscape back to the whole Breuil basin. Powder snow on the slopes at altitude (from Plan Maison at 2,500 m upwards) and packed snow on all the other runs of the ski area. A truly unexpected end of season for the many enthusiasts who still want to make the most of these last spring ski days here in Cervinia, where the international link with Zermatt is also open, for skiing without borders.
Here is the snow report, with really inviting numbers: Plateau Rosà 340 cm, Cime Bianche Laghi 200 cm, Plan Maison 160 cm and Cervinia village 70 cm.
The season continues until May 6 with the lifts open, the international link with Zermatt (Switzerland) and ski-back all the way to Cervinia village. From May 7 the lifts will close for the usual pre-summer break, but skiing will resume in summer with the opening of the Plateau Rosà glacier.
It is also worth remembering that, for the Giro d’Italia stage finish on May 19, the lifts will stay open that weekend, so that anyone who wishes can ride the panoramic cable car up to Plateau Rosà at 3,500 m or ski the upper part of the Ventina run, returning to the Cime Bianche Laghi station.
