Autumn is now in full swing and weather fronts are about to take over this beginning of November with snowfall at high altitude.
A new disturbance coming from the north-west is about to reach the Alps, bringing heavy rain and abundant snowfall on the mountains above 1,900-2,000 m
Cervinia, the Monterosa, Val Senales and the other autumn ski destinations are ready to stock up on snow after getting the season off to a great start with record numbers on the ski slopes.
The first clouds will move over Italy starting tonight (Thursday, November 2) and will characterise the whole weekend with rain in the valleys and snowfall, heavy at times, above 1,900 m in the north-west and above 2,000-2,200 m in the central Alps.
Good news for all the ski areas that have already opened their doors, but good news also for those, like Bormio and Livigno, hoping for a heavy snowfall to open their high-altitude ski lifts.
Unfortunately, for snow at medium and low altitudes we will have to wait a little longer, but in the meantime we can enjoy the start of the season in over 10 ski resorts

let's get ready for some wild weather!
