The Brembo ski area is bringing the 2011/12 ski season to a close by shutting down its ski lifts. The weekend of Saturday and Sunday, March 11, welcomed the last skiers of the season.
An earlier closure than in previous seasons, dictated by the difficult weather conditions. A winter short on snowfall and an early spring have put the snowpack to a severe test over the last few weeks, and above all in the last few days, with the result that on the open slopes good skiing conditions are only guaranteed in the very first hours of the morning.
Hence the decision to close all the lifts and slopes of Foppolo, Carona and San Simone from Monday, March 26.
Nevertheless, the Lombardy resort will continue to welcome tourists with “spring” offers and ski lifts kept open for walks and day trips.
