The drop in temperatures recorded in recent days, combined with the 40 centimeters of snow that fell on Tuesday, created the conditions needed to groom part of the slopes and allow the regular operation of the corresponding lifts.
The low temperatures of recent days have also made it possible to run the programmed snowmaking system at full capacity, thereby further strengthening the snowpack base created by the recent snowfall.
The opening of Limone Piemonte joins that of Sestriere and Sauze d’Oulx, which are similarly tackling the snow shortage with their artificial snowmaking systems operating day and night to prepare the ski slopes as best as possible.
