55 centimeters of fresh snow and sub-zero temperatures have made it possible to open part of the cross-country ski trail, where Northern European National Teams are already training.
The Alps are turning white and Nordic ski teams have already arrived in Livigno to train; they wasted no time and, although they had come here for dry-land training, they immediately pulled out their skinny skis to test their fitness right away!
If weather conditions continue to keep the mercury low, the resort will do everything possible to keep the first cross-country loop (350 m)—groomed overnight in the Tresenda area (Biathlon range zone)—open.
This afternoon, crews will also attempt to groom a loop on the central plain in the cross-country stadium area; weather permitting, all cross-country skiing enthusiasts can already start training ahead of the upcoming sporting events, first and foremost La Sgambeda, scheduled from December 11 to 15.
