On the morning of October 12, we went up to Monte Verena (Roana – Asiago Plateau) and took the opportunity to snap some photos of the magical and unusual winter landscape that greeted us.
The evening before, a quick weather front brought a few centimeters of fresh snow, and the overnight frost consolidated the snowpack, giving the forest and mountain a characteristic wintry appearance.
At 9 in the morning, we found a temperature of -5 degrees around the Verena Ski Area and Rifugio Verenetta, a January-like scene in mid-October.
