Big Opening in St. Moritz with the City Race and Gear Test

The ski season is off to a flying start in St. Moritz, having begun back in October with the opening of the lifts on the snows of Diavolezza, followed a few days ago by the opening of Corvatsch.
Now the entire Engadin valley is gearing up for a fantastic winter with the grand season opening scheduled for the weekend of December 5–6.
Back once again is the iconic St. Moritz City Race, the ski race staged right in the heart of the world’s most famous Alpine resort town—a spectacular, fun-filled event that draws huge crowds of ski fans every year.
Once the head-to-head parallel race in the town center wraps up, the party will continue late into the night with an open-air concert by the Swiss rock band “Gotthard.”

Skiing will also take center stage throughout the weekend thanks to the return of the on-snow gear test, giving visitors the chance to test the latest ski and snowboard models on the slopes of Corviglia.
Prices: CHF 10 for 1 day (excl. skipass), CHF 15 for both days (excl. skipass).
