This is one of the most famous slopes in the entire ski area: in peak season (when snow conditions are optimal), it offers a 11 km run with a 1,500-meter vertical drop, starting at the summit of Testa Grigia (Plateau Rosà) at 3,480 m above sea level and descending all the way down to 2,000 m directly into town.
Ski enthusiasts can therefore also ski on the Italian side of the international “Cervino Ski Paradise” ski area. For this opening, the Italy-only daily ski pass is set at the promotional price of €26.00; morning and/or afternoon passes are €21.50, and a round-trip ticket is €25.00.
On the Swiss side, skiing continues on the slopes of Plateau Rosà (3,500 m), with the Plateau Rosà I, II, and III drag lifts, the Furgsattel chairlift, and the Klein Matterhorn cable car (top station at 3,883 m) open, offering runs descending down to Trockener Steg (2,939 m).
The price of the international daily ski pass (valid for both the Swiss and Breuil-Cervinia lifts) is €50.00, Pre-Ski rate.
First ascent to Plateau Rosà from Cervinia at 8:15 AM.
