The ski areas of Friuli Venezia Giulia are getting ready to celebrate the end of the season in style with two truly unmissable days for downhill skiing enthusiasts and more: on Saturday, April 12 and Sunday, April 13, in fact, Promotur is offering everyone free ski passes to use the open lifts across all regional ski resorts.
Simply head to the ticket office, pick up your ski pass, and enjoy the final days on the snow, which will also be accompanied by events and other promotions.
In the Ravascletto-Zoncolan ski area until April 6, weather permitting, the following lifts will remain open daily: the funifor, the Valvan, Val di Nuf, and Tamai 2000 chairlifts, and the Cjalcenal, Lausc, and Cima Zoncolan magic carpets.
From April 7 to 11 the resort will remain closed, before reopening to wrap up the season on April 12 and 13 with a variety of entertainment events and unmissable promotions.
On Sunday, April 13, ski instructors will be available to interested skiers for lessons at a 50% discount, while rental shops, also on Sunday, April 13, will offer equipment at a 50% discount. And the news on Mount Zoncolan does not end there: numerous events are scheduled at the various mountain huts and lodges, featuring concerts and snow competitions.
In Piancavallo, the ski area is open daily until April 6, while from April 7 to 11 the lifts and slopes will remain closed before reopening for the final weekend of April 12 and 13, featuring the traditional “Guest star race – Toffoli” team parallel race on the Caprioli slope and a grand closing party scheduled at the ice arena on Sunday with live music, DJs, and food and wine stalls.
In Tarvisio, only the Lussari and Misconca gondolas and their respective Di Prampero and Alpe Limerza slopes will remain open until April 6. On weekdays from April 7 to 11, the lifts and slopes will remain closed before reopening on Saturday, April 12 and Sunday, April 13, when skiing will be available on the upper section of the Di Prampero slope and on the Misconca slope. Over the Easter holidays (April 19, 20, and 21), the Monte Lussari gondola will remain open only to pedestrians at standard list prices.
The season will then continue solely in the Sella Nevea ski area, which will remain open every day until April 27, subject to slope safety conditions. From April 11 to 13, a music-filled party is scheduled in the resort, while on April 25 the traditional Alpinistica del Canin will take place—a spectacular ski mountaineering race that attracts countless enthusiasts of the discipline every year.
In Forni di Sopra, skiing will still be possible on the weekends of April 5–6 and April 12–13 on the upper section of Varmost.
Finally, in Sauris the lifts are open on April 5 and 6, while a potential opening on April 12 and 13 will be evaluated based on snowpack conditions.
