After four days of heavy snowfall the Ghiacciaio Presena reopens (after closing because of too much snow) with over 100 cm of fresh snow and a total snowpack of 2 metres, a true white paradise. In addition to the Presena destro run, which has been open for skiing since October 29, it is now also possible to ski on the Presena Paradiso run, for a total of 3 km.
At the top of the Paradiso gondola lift, at 2,600 metres, a 3 km cross-country skiing loop will also be available from Saturday, November 12. Opening hours will be every day from 8:15 am to 3 pm.
Until Saturday, the athletes of FISIP (Italian Paralympic Winter Sports Federation) will be training on the Ghiacciaio Presena. The training sessions are aimed at preparing for the alpine skiing races of the Italian Championship, the European Cup, the World Cup and the Paralympic Games to be held in 2014 in Sochi, Russia.
