The Italian mountains have always been protagonists of winter sports and in particular the world of skiing. Italy boasts hundreds of magnificent ski resorts spread across the country with slopes exceeding 3000 meters in altitude. In a natural arena with extraordinary features, there is also room for Competitive Skiing represented by the “White Circus”, which every winter livens up the snows of the top ski destinations with the spectacle offered by the best skiers in the world.
In this 2012/2013 winter too, the White Circus returns to Italy to put on a great show; here are the scheduled stops for this ski season:
Val Gardena 14-15/12/2012

Every year, shortly before Christmas, the eyes of ski fans are fixed on the Saslong in Val Gardena. The Val Gardena slope, with its jumps, numerous rollers, and narrow sections, is one of the longest in the world. A favorite among international audiences, it is at the forefront of safety.
Alta Badia 16/12/2012

Alta Badia is located in the heart of the Dolomites in Alto Adige, taking center stage with the magnificent arena of the Gran Risa, the famous ski slope that, among others, saw Alberto Tomba star with a record in this race of no fewer than 4 victories, 2 second places, and 2 third places.
Madonna di Campiglio 27/12/2012

Madonna di Campiglio will host the 3Tre, Italy’s oldest Ski World Cup race.
The great champions will compete along the legendary Canalone Miramonti: four hundred meters of floodlit slope overlooking, with a daring final pitch, the center of the Brenta Dolomites resort.
From Zeno Colò to Karl Schranz, from Gustav Thöni to Alberto Tomba, from Ingemar Stenmark to Bode Miller, all the legends in the history of skiing have inscribed their names at least once on the 3TRE roll of honor.
Bormio 29/12/2012

A spectacular men’s downhill where the great champions of world alpine skiing hurtled at high speed down the Stelvio Slope, considered the toughest and most demanding in the world.
Cortina d’Ampezzo 19-20/01/2013

For twenty consecutive years Cortina d’Ampezzo has hosted the Ski World Cup, with 76 races held on the Olympia delle Tofane. The fearless speed queens tackle the 67% gradient of the Schuss to reach Duca d’Aosta and finally Pale di Rumerlo at 1568 meters above sea level.
