Specifically, the Col Margherita cable car, the Chiesetta surface lift, and the Del Passo, Gigante, and Lago Cavia chairlifts will open, serving the Col Margherita, Lago Cavia, and Gigante slopes as well as the Chiesetta nursery slope at Passo San Pellegrino, ensuring great service for skiers treating themselves to the thrill of the first runs of the season.
On Thursday, December 6 it will be the turn of Alpe Lusia, with the Ronchi-Valbona and Valbona-Le Cune gondolas, the Castelir-Fassane, Fassane-Morea, Campo-Le Cune, and Lastè chairlifts, as well as the Valbona surface lift, allowing skiers to enjoy both the slopes on the Bellamonte side—very wide, sunny, and especially suited for beginners—and the slopes on the Moena side, loved by more experienced skiers.
What’s new for the 2012/2013 season
A must-try is the brand-new Col Margherita Freeride Park at Passo San Pellegrino, a true snow paradise for those who love to venture—in complete safety—beyond the groomed slopes in search of strong thrills.
Easily accessible via the Col Margherita cable car, the route is equipped with dedicated signage, an avalanche transceiver (ARTVA) check gate, and a prompt emergency response service. At Chalet Cima Uomo, the Kids Paradise playground has been further expanded and renovated, offering a safe, fully equipped environment featuring both an outdoor area where little ones can spend happy moments on the snow among swings, slides, wooden playhouses, wheelbarrows, and a real miniature cable car, and a 100 sq m heated indoor room.
