We at MondoNeve.it are confirming our presence for the fourth consecutive year, building on a well-established partnership with a major event like Alta Quota.
Over these 4 years, we have witnessed the exponential growth of this event, which has become one of the most important gatherings for mountain and snow lovers—the right place to find all the previews for the upcoming winter and discover the latest innovations in technical gear and tourist offerings.
This 2012 edition brings big changes to Alta Quota, above all the very exciting decision to open the fair to everyone thanks to free admission across all days of the event, with no time restrictions. A bold choice born from the idea that mountain tourism and sports must be supported first and foremost by industry operators, removing all barriers—including financial ones—that hinder information and the promotion of mountain regions.
Turnout over these first 2 days, Friday the 11th and Saturday the 12th, has been truly remarkable, with booths packed with skiers, snowboarders, mountaineers, and everyday mountain lovers who decided to visit Alta Quota to discover all the new developments for the season. There are no official figures yet, but the final tally will very likely be positive—a big plus sign!
Exhibiting at the fair are many tourist resorts from across Italy and beyond: the Province of Bergamo and the wider Lombardy Region are playing on home turf with Lizzola, Valseriana, Adamello Ski, Valtellina, Valmalenco, Livigno, Bormio, and Santa Caterina Valfurva, alongside Trentino Alto Adige with Val di Fiemme, Val di Fassa, San Martino di Castrozza, and Madonna di Campiglio, as well as foreign tourist resorts such as Chamonix, St. Moritz, Airolo, and other ski destinations in France and Switzerland.
An all-round tourist offering ranging from small local resorts to internationally renowned ski areas.
Also present are many tour operators and hotel consortia offering special promotions ahead of the winter holidays, such as Vita Nova, a group of Trentino hotels united by their focus on wellness facilities in the region’s top tourist destinations.
Not just tourism, but sports as well: from major ski brands like Head, Rossignol, and Dynastar to mountaineering brands like Camp and Edelrid, as well as gear like the SnowX (a snowboard ridden like a motorbike) or the mountainboard (a snowboard that also rides on grass).
In addition to the vast array of mountain sports and tourism offerings, Alta Quota has hosted and will continue to host engaging side events featuring book presentations, interviews, and mountain stories with prominent guests such as Mario Panzeri and Denis Urubko.
In the outdoor area, fun takes center stage with the return of Alta Quota’s signature events: the Rail Contest, where snowboarders and skiers battle it out with tricks for fame and a €3,000 prize purse; the Big Air Bag, where riders can try out new aerials with the safety of landing on a giant air mattress; as well as mountain bike tracks and climbing walls.
Alta Quota is not over yet: we look forward to seeing you on Sunday, October 14 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Bergamo exhibition center (see official website)
