Breaking the deadlock was the heavy snowfall that brought a full 80 cm of fresh snow to the Presena glacier on Sunday; abundant snow and bitter cold will allow the slopes to be groomed and the glacier to open ahead of the first skiing holiday of the season, the All Saints’ Day long weekend (see all open ski areas).
The lifts will operate from 8:15 AM to 4:00 PM throughout the All Saints’ Day long weekend; the glacier will remain open on the following days as well, though operating hours may be updated.
The glacier season is restarting, yet thoughts are already turning to winter: the 30 centimeters of snow that fell over the weekend at Passo del Tonale and temperatures well below freezing have allowed Adamello Ski to start making snow and kick off artificial snowmaking.
80 cm of fresh snow, ski lifts on the Presena open from November 1
