At Skipass Modena lots of activities for children on real snow

Learning to ski Modena Skipass

learning to ski modena skipassSkipass, the winter tourism and sports exhibition scheduled at the Modena exhibition center from Thursday, October 30 to Sunday, November 2, offers all young visitors the opportunity to get closer to the white mountains and snow through lots of free, easy, and fun activities.
Assisted by qualified instructors, children of all ages can take their first steps on the snow-covered slopes set up in the fair’s outdoor area and learn the basic exercises and maneuvers of alpine and cross-country skiing. An unforgettable experience already enjoyed by thousands of children in previous editions of the event, renewed this year thanks to the partnership with the Italian Winter Sports Federation, which devotes special attention to young children and budding talents.

Snowboarding will also take center stage thanks to Burton Snowboards’ LTR – Learn To Ride project, which will involve two age groups of young riders: the older kids (aged 6 to 12) will hit the slope every day at 3:00 pm together with staff from the well-known industry brand to learn their first board moves on fresh snow. For the youngest children, meanwhile, the Riglet Park returns, a setup dedicated to kids aged 3 to 6.
Made of synthetic material, it is perfect for learning to ride a snowboard in complete safety: pulled along by a tether attached to the nose or tail of the board, navigating small obstacles. It is a safe, fun introductory exercise that fosters snowboard learning by helping kids acquire their first sense of balance, reflexes, and stability.

But the opportunities to discover the mountains while having fun don’t end there, because Skipass is a true snow playground: snow tubing runs, ice skating, sled dog rides, and free bouldering trials are just some of the initiatives on the Skipass calendar. For all scheduled activities, equipment is provided free of charge by the exhibition in collaboration with industry companies.
This year Skipass also welcomes a very special character who brings all the thrills of snow racing: Pinocchio sugli Sci, the traveling event that engages young skiers in a real championship dedicated to them.

Inside the tourist resort booths as well, children will find plenty of fun things to do, perhaps getting their parents involved too: such as at the Aosta Valley booth, which for the occasion transforms into an Alpine-themed photo set. All visitors, children included, can have their picture taken with the mountain item they find most representative, thereby taking part in the #faccedaskipassvda challenge. Up for grabs are 4 weekends in the Aosta Valley.
Finally, there is space for ecology and creativity for everyone thanks to the Kinder Garden set up in the central gallery in collaboration with the ‘Rediscover Nature’ project. The free service operates throughout the entire duration of the event.

Free admission for children aged 0-6 (every day)
Friday, October 31 admission for women and children aged 7-13: € 8.00
