Passo Stelvio, ski lifts open until November 2

stelvio ski lifts closing Summer skiing continues non-stop at Passo Stelvio, the benchmark for summer skiing in Italy. The glacier, a destination for many skiers and athletes, is experiencing one of its best summers in terms of snow conditions: a winter with abundant snowfall followed by a summer that saw snow return several times along with temperatures that were anything but summery—factors that have kept the runs in good shape.

Throughout this month of September and the entire month of October, Passo Stelvio will remain available to those who do not want to wait for winter and wish to treat themselves to a few days of off-season skiing, with ski lifts open until November 2 in keeping with past years.

For now, this ski resort remains the only one open in Italy, with the exception of Val Senales, which opened its lifts early. On the snows of the Stelvio, alongside recreational skiers, athletes from the world’s top national teams are training in preparation for the Alpine Ski World Cup already scheduled for mid-October on the Austrian glacier of Sölden.

If you want to treat yourself to a few days of skiing before winter, Passo Stelvio is the ideal destination.
